Heatwave strikes England.

A long awaited run of warm weather, all have been anticipating to meet. This week we did. It has enlightened everybody's moods, gave us glow and positivity. This is what makes me love the sunshine so much. I have been so radiant, so happy i made sure that each day i did something with somebody different, to fulfil a week of happiness, while it lasts. It's very rare to see such a streak of beautiful weather; this week has been so enticing, yet relaxed at the same time. I hope you've all had a lovely week.

I went on many bike rides, i wore my 90s style, glitter jelly shoes. I drank homemade lemon water and saw a good friend off to London over a banana and strawberry smoothie. I've enjoyed reading Lolita in the mornings sat out in the back garden. Over all i have thoroughly enjoyed my week.

A fashion design student obsessed with beautiful photography, such as Laura Sciacovelli. Okay so anyone who knows me knows my love for France, Paris especially and also Italy being one of my most desired places to visit. The history fascinates me and their cuisine is perfect. As well as my love for London, it's character, attitude and overall inspiration of such a historic Capital. Such culture and love for ones own independence. Laura Sciacovelli completed her photographer degree in Paris, whom currently works between London and Italy. Utter perfection and perfect escapism into deep inspiration. She has worked for a number of high end fashion magazines such as Dazed & Confused, Vogue, The Face and many more. I find her roots so cultural which perform amongst her work, currently a favourite of my photographers, capturing essence of body and beauty in a natural form. Modelling for a Roberta Ridolfi inspired shoot.

My first post was about my love for the photographer, Roberta Ridolfi and how i love that her photography was so real; in capturing the person being photographed, being themselves, showing movement, emotion, un airbrushed. To me the best kind of photography for my eyes to witness. I love to see people in their 'every day' rather than being 'done up' for a 'shoot'. I'd rather turn up to somebodies house and photograph them just how they are. This was the concept for this shoot i did for a friend, for a university project. Her task was to use an object or show it within a picture, she chose flowers. In each of these images flowers portray. I really enjoy just 'being myself'.

90s Nostalgia

Had a very nostalgic day today, feeling very 90s. As you can see in the top right hand picture my Spice Girls platform boots arrived yesterday, ordered from eBay. I'm currently having a love hate relationship with them. I love them, i love the 90s, i love platforms, they're super comfy and they was only £7.99. BUT my question is, will i actually wear them? I don't know if i would, i can't casually wear them out they're so high and for evening i'm not sure they'd sit too well. What do you think?

Also i visited a local trading shop for CD's/DVD's, games etc and i came across this Spice Girls album, i love the Spice Girls so much, as a 90's kid i had it all. From lunch boxes, backpacks, those collecting photo's, just everything. This CD was a measly 20p i couldn't believe it, i had to buy it. Now i can relive my childhood :)

Relax / Breathe

I've had a really relaxing few days now i have no stress upon my shoulders. Also meet my kitten Harvey, given the name from Harvey out of 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch'.

I really enjoy reading 'Oh Comely' magazine because it's so 'real' i also love how at the beginning of the magazine they write down the playlist of music they listened to; to write the stories inside. It's also great for looking at real peoples work, seeing what they're doing and how they're doing it; only making me want to research them further. It's a magazine where i always discover beautiful, new artists of every form. It inspires and motivates me more and more to succeed at what i do.

I also can not believe i am still wearing my huge cable knit jumper in may. It's super warm and cosy though. Not forgetting my new love for fruit toast and a classic favourite of mine, 'cheese on toast'. :)

May walks.

May Walks.

Having finished uni i'm left with nothing to do until i begin my internship in July. I'm not a person who can relax or do nothing, i like to always be doing something. The weather still isn't brilliant, but today i put on my brogues, my navy duffle coat which i refer to as my 'Paddington Bear coat' and went for a walk in the park.

On the way i saw some beautiful tree carvings. It's one of my favourite things to take walks alone, think and just breathe in fresh air, witnessing nature before your eyes and really looking at the world.

This is what i have been working on over the past few weeks for my final deadline at uni, on my fashion design course, to complete my second year.

So i made my dress, which originally came from a picture of a swarm of jellyfish. My research involved how the jellyfish reminded me of bulbs of light under the water, shimmering so bright and lighting up the ocean. Also they reflected the image of a chandelier in my mind, all the glimmering crystals falling, capturing your eyes. So i created this dress. So shiny, so silky, smooth, pearls to resemble the jellyfish, the blue to represent the sea and the champagne to represent them themselves. I wanted to create something dream like, so then Alice in Wonderland struck and made this final image.

My spring and Easter holiday. We had some lovely weather in March and i made the most of the sunshine, by riding my bicycle to  different locations everyday. I enjoyed Hot Cross buns as a traditional Easter breakfast and had the most wonderful 21st birthday.

The flowers i received for my 21st birthday from a beautiful friend of mine. X
